Opening bid $10,000.00 (Reserve not met), no bids yet, 4 days left in auction. Buy it now price $38,500. 41k miles.

    Sellers description:
A very nice 1965 Jaguar XKE convertible. This is a 4.2L six cylinder series 1 with a full syncro 4 speed gearbox. The car is in British Racing green with a tan interior it also has black California Lic plates. The car has had minor prior damage to the rear right side. The paint shows it age as it was repainted in the late 80's. Thia is one of the sexiest body styles ever designed and it's lines are timeless. This car runs and drives well and starts first time. The motor is turned to perfection and the car is turn key ready to enjoy. These cars are becoming more and more scarce and this one has all the matching numbers. The car was restored in the late 1980's The mileage is not original as I suspect the speedo has been replaced. The car come with a matching hardtop and tonneau cover.

classicshowcase.com to review our levels of restoration that could be achieved with this vehicle, after the auction. This E-Type is a fast appreciating investment and very collectable series to own.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
