My dealership purchased this vehicle from the Russo and Steele auction in 2012. We are finally getting around to getting her in the air to see if we can make this vehicle a 2+ before the end of the year. I will attempt to gather the remaining information (engine #, Trans #, etc) while we work on it.

Car to be at auction 1/16
russoandsteele.com/vehicle-details/

Auction description:
SCOTTSDALE 2016
1967 Jaguar XKE Roadster
Consignment # 5238
Vehicle to be offered for Auction sale January 27th 31st, 2016 at Russo and Steele's 16th Annual Scottsdale Arizona Auction.

Offered for sale is a highly original, numbers matching 1967 Jaguar XKE OTS. This car has recently undergone some maintenance after leaving a short 1 year stint in storage. The fuel was drained, fuel tank removed, cleaned, and checked for leaks. The original clear fuel lines had become hard and brittle, thanks to today's ethanol fuels. The fuel lines have been replaced with modern rubber hoses which are more resistant to the harsh side effects of ethanol fuel.

The fuel pump remains in great working order and appears to have suffered very little from the aged fuel that had been sitting in it, Up at the carburetors, the fuel bowls were drained and cleaned, along with cleaning of the dash pot, jet needle, and the other few moving parts within the SU Carburetors.

The water pump has also been replaced with an OEM replacement, along with a new water pump gasket, since the original gasket had developed a slow leak. A new accessory belt is also installed as the original appearing belt was stretched and coming apart. The radiator remains as the car had no cooling issues before entering storage, and there were no visual signs of damaged or abuse.

Certain parts within the engine bay were incorrectly painted with a very bright and vibrant silver paint. These parts have been removed, cleaned up, and restored to their original color.

With attention to detail throughout, this is an excellent example of the highly collectible Series 1 XKE open top two seat Jaguar. Fuel and Cooling system brought up to a more ethanol resistant and dependable level

Car to return to auction 8/19

www.bonhams.com/auctions/25221/lot/205/

Auction description:

Lot 205

Quail Lodge Auction

1967 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2 Roadster

Chassis no. 1E14325

Engine no. 7E11569-9

Completed very early on in 1967, this open two-seater E-Type left Jaguar's production facility much as it appears today, and was most likely delivered new to the booming, North American market. The Jaguar has received restoration, service and maintenance work over the years, and appears in beautiful condition today. It should be noted, that some signs of corrosion have been found in the bodywork. As the early Jaguar factory records are unclear with regards to exactly when the covered headlights were cancelled on US-market car, it is hard to determine if this car had them from new or had received the newly introduced lights in 1967. Completed in a lovely Old English White exterior color over a black leather interior, this end-of-the-run 1967 E-Type 4.2 Roadster looks just right. Very nice trim and bright work adorns the Malcolm Sayer-designed bodywork, matched by chrome wire wheels. Inside a clean black leather interior greets you, along with the classic wood-rimmed steering wheel. The first-generation E-Type remains a highly collectible car, and this one would be a great example to take on tours and rallies.
