Sold by Autostorico of Bourne End in February 2020. Seller's description below.

The E Type 4.2 Series 1 Fixed head Coupe, chassis number 1E20975, offered at Autostorico is finished in its original colour scheme of Opalescent Silver Blue with Dark Blue leather interior. This original RHD example was supplied by Andover Garages to its first owner, Mr M Thompson of Towcester, Northamptonshire on 10th November 1965. remaining in long term ownership until October 2010, the car was purchased by Raymond Carr, a Jaguar specialist and engineer. Mr Carr undertook a no expense spared restoration which included removing the engine and gearbox and stripping the body before a bare metal respray was undertaken by marque specialist Colin Ginny.
The car was subject to a full mechanical overhaul including the engine, gearbox and suspension rebuild. Other notable works including overhauling the braking system including Coopercraft brakes, re-wire and interior re-trim. This excellent example passed to the current owner in 2017, he used the car sparingly and has subsequently purchased an E Type roadster. Under his ownership the car has had a recent service, head gasket replacement and an alloy head gasket fitted. This beautiful E Type presents very well with nice panel gaps and is a joy to drive.
