Sellers description:
Car # 30135 Engine # 7E 1392-9 Body # 4E 20195 Gearbox # EJ390 This is one of those cars you hear about. Found in woodshed in Kentucky. Had been sitting for several years. I purchased with intentions of restoring, but have too many projects waiting. Brought home, changed oil, oil filter, gas, gas filter, installed new sparkplugs and battery. It fired right up. Rough idle, probably from carbs gummed up a little. Drove down the street, it sounded great, but had little or no brakes, so I haven't driven again. They are probably seized from sitting. I don't know much about a Jag, but offer an honest condition below. Inspection by buyer or others welcome and suggested. Has clear Ohio title.

Vehicle Condition
Car is very restorable. Paint is eggshell cracked and peeling in some places. Drivers side hood (by headlight) has dent from parking lot guardrail that was beat out but repair not completed. There are many scratches, small dents, and evidence of sitting in storage. Has rust along bottom of passenger door and rear quarters. Drivers door has been replaced with good used door. Floorboards are solid. Rear hatch opens and in good condition. Chrome is straight but every thing will need rechromed. All glass is good. 4.2 motor starts easily, sounds good, idles rough. The motor serial no. matches the i.d. plate. No oil or water leaks. Transmission is smooth. Shifter is tight. Wire knockoff wheels have rust around spokes. I haven't tried to clean them. Has spoke wheel spare. Tires are dry rotted, but hold air for moving. Only thing missing on body is front parking/turn lights. Interior has no rips or tears. Tach and speedometer work and look good. Dash looks good. I think every thing is original and working. Original aluminum and wood steering wheel. Previous owners family said 66,000 miles is original. I may be the third owner.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
