    Ebay item 1/29/10

Current bid $5,400 reserve not met, 3 bids 9 days left in auction. Buy it now price $24,000.

    Sellers description:
Tthis car has been sitting in a barn for a long long time. The last owner had the car since 1972. The car has been stored since the late 70's. This Jag coupe does run, I started the car with fuel into the carbs and the motor sounded good. The only rust is in the driver side floor a result of acid leak from the battery. I will include pictures of the car as it was pulled from the barn and prior to any cleaning. I will also include pictures of the car after a mild clean up. What is missing: on a brief inspection... the rear glass with the gasket and surround chrome is missing. The 2 headlight glass and surround pieces are missing. The carpet on the driver side is missing. The upper chrome and lower chrome from the windshield is missing. The last owner thought he could supply those parts but failed to do so. The car will be sold on a bill of sale but if you need a registration it can be secured with 300 dollars for insurance, tag and registration documents. Cars this age are not required to have a title in Georgia.

The tires are totally dry rotted but do hold air and the car rolls on them. This car has its original key and it locks the doors and initiates the ignition. The interior is completely original and will need replacing. the leather dried up along time ago. all of the panels are there. The dash top piece is split as they all do.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
