This early signal red 4.2 E-type roadster was originally exported to the USA as a LHD FHC. On its re-importation to the U.K in 1988 it was restored to a high standard and converted to its existing RHD roadster specification. A comprehensive history file accompanies this excellent specimen containing all the photographs relating to the car's restoration and conversion plus a number of invoices detailing the expenditure of all the work entailed in this expensive and most extensive restoration. A Heritage certificate authenticates the original specification of the car as it left the Brown's Lane factory. With concours examples of early cars making in excess of ú50K at auction recently this offers the both of best worlds - the right specification at a most accessible price.

    • Stunning in Carmen Red with a Black leather interior, classic looks for an early roadster.
    • Originally exported to the United States as a left hand drive, fixed head coupe.
    • Returned to the UK in 1988, restored to a high standard, and converted to its existing RHD roadster spec.
    • Recently treated to a fastiduous restoration costing thousands of pounds.
    • Body and paintork by Sandy Wallace of Kilmarnock, a well known restorer in Scotland.
    • The engine and drivetrain were rebuilt by its engineer owner.
    • The interior has been refurbished leaving just the dash top untouched. Supplied with a lovely history file including old MoTs and invoices for parts and works done.

Note: The replacement data plate shows incorrect non Jaguar engine and body numbers, no gearbox number is shown. The frame is stamped with chassis number 1E20221.
