Car on sale on ebay from January 5 2008 with start price of $500. Following comments from seller:
This is a classic 1967 Jaguar E-Type (XKE) Series 1 coupe with 4-speed manual synchromesh transmission, 6-cylinder 4.2 liter engine, 3 SU carburetors, 4-wheel disc brakes, and wire wheels. Extra wire wheel included. Not fitted with A/C. 1967 is one of the most desirable years because it was the last year of the sleek, sexy and fast Series 1. Series 2 cars lost glass headlight covers, interior toggle switches and other details but gained emission controls that reduced performance and caused Jaguar to introduce the V-12 Series 3 in 1971. I bought this car in 1980, and drove it regularly for about ten years. It ran great, and was fun to drive. After that it took a back seat to my family and other obligations. The engine has not been run since 1990. No broken glass. No major dents, just minor dings. Radio console is missing, but replaceable. The floor pans are rusted and there are minor rust spots on the bonnet. The car will need restoration. I hold the title.

Restored in Germany, matching numbers! This Jaguar was originally shipped to the USA as a very late Series 1 Coupe. The E Type only had a single owner during the period 1980 to 2008 based in Louisiana. Its first owner drove it until 1990, then put it into storage and finally sold it in 2008 as a restoration project to a purchaser in Germany.
At the time the E Type had all its original components, and while the original engine and gearbox were in really good condition, the bodywork was in need of loving attention, and the mechanical parts of a thorough overhaul. The car's restoration was completed in 2013 after it successfully passed its MoT. The E is now in a classic British Racing Green combined with a green leather interior. Just in time for the auction, the vendor will be registering the Jaguar in Austria, which means it will be ready to go on the road straight after the auction!
