Ebay item 8/4/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967-S-1-FIXED-HEAD-4-2-LT-COUPE-SOLID-ORIG-FLOORS-DESER ...
Current bid $1,026 reserve not met, 7 bids 9 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1967 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Fixed-head Coupe for restoration. Solid original body with un-replaced solid factory floors. Stored for years in a desert storage yard outside Las Vegas, Nevada. The dry climate was good to the metal, and this car makes either a great donor car or restoration project. The car was stripped to metal and has since developed surface rust, but this will sand off easily. The car is quite solid and I have found no areas of crumbly metal where welding with be required. Any similar fixed-head Coupe with significant rust issues would be better off with this factory-solid body. No other parts are included. (We have lots of parts, including a 1966 E-Type engine, seats, and too many other things to list. If you are interested in buying this car for restoration, please feel free to inquire about buying additional necessary parts). Clear California title.

Hello All, If anyone is interested ?? this car has now been purchased (by me) and now resides in Australia, where it will be restored and converted to RHD, like an E Type was designed!!! (couldnt help myself!!!!) If anyone has any relevant information or history about this car I would be very grateful to hear about it.
And just a note here the body of this car was in surprisingly good order., I had my doubts I can tell you.
Cheers
Garry

"Like an E-Type was designed" ...... If it wasn't for the left hand drive American market Jaguar could not have afforded to tool up and make such a car. After the Second World War British car manufacturers were told to export to help repay the war loans or there would be no allocation of steel to them. So quite the contrary, they were designed left hand drive.

Hello AY, I have just come across your comment that you left in June 19 (of this year).

You have my attention....!!! as I would really like to hear something of this little beauty, as I am going through this car I cannot believe how good it is compared to some of the ones on the web, I have come across some very interesting previous, colours of this car, I can't believe that it was a type of Magenta colour and along with this found traces of white shag pile carpet.... man talk about Austin Powers and Shagadellic baby!

I am currently working on the body before repaint and the most damage I have found is to the drivers side sill where some rodent had made its nest and obviously been there for a number of years as the pee has corroded through the sill other than this both sills were still painted factory black inside! Also drivers door had been replaced obviously after a side scrape going from the rear fender.

I hope to hear back from you, with what you have, as I always find it very interesting the tales that these 'mature' cars can tell.

Kind Regards

Garry
