Ebay item 2/21/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968-Jaguar-E-type-Coupe-FULLY-RESTORED-STUNNING-LOOK-/2 ... Car has a buy it now price of $45,000 for 6 days. Sellers description: This great Jaguar E-type coupe had a ground up restoration done. It is an excellent show/driver type car that can be enjoyed and driven. This car is absolutely stunning in Signal Red with excellent Biscuit leather interior. I think this is one of the best color combinations on a Jaguar or any car for that matter! The Signal red paint looks great and the newer interior is a perfect complement to the beautiful paint. The car does not look like many miles were placed on it after the restoration, which I understand was done about 8 years ago. Runs and drives excellent. It shifts well with no noises in any of the gears. It has excellent compression of 1-157psi, 2-157psi, 3-157psi, 4-155psi, 5-152psi, 6-159psi across every cylinder. The oil pressure at idle is about 50 pounds. I do not have documentation of the restoration, but the car more then speaks for itself both mechanically and cosmetically. To elaborate on the condition of this car, as I always try to represent my cars as honestly as I can: Paint: The paint on this car is excellent. It is Signal Red which I believe is the original color for this car. The panels are very straight and not wavy. An excellent paint job. Chrome: The chrome is in very good shape. The chrome bumpers are excellent on the car and very clean. The chrome around the windshield is also excellent. The chrome around the drivers and passenger side windows are in very good shape. The tail light chrome is also in very good shape and shows some minor bumps and imperfections. Seals: All the weather stripping and seals look as if they were replaced during the restoration and look new. Interior: The interior is beautiful. It is a rich biscuit color. The seats, carpeting, upholstery, headliner, rear trunk liner are all excellent. The seat leather shows minimal wear. The steering wheel is a nice replacement and feels great on your hands to drive. I do have black rubber Jaguar floor mats in the car to protect this nice carpeting. Also in the pictures there is no rear view mirror. This is because I needed to get new glass for the mirror. The new and correct mirror is on the car now. Wheels/Tires: The chrome wire wheels look new. The tires are also in excellent shape with a lot of life left on them. Underside/floors: This is one of the cleanest underside you will find on any e-type. It has been painted body color, where most are undercoated. The floors are perfect. Under the bonnet does not have any dents and looks brand new. All suspension pieces and frame rails are straight and very clean. A new stainless steel exhaust has been installed and still has the stickers on the unit. Spare Tire Compartment/Spare Tire and Wheel: The spare tire compartment is extremely clean and painted correct Signal red to match the rest of the car. Engine Compartment: The engine is very clean and looks beautiful. The underside of the hood is clean. The wheels wells under the bonnet as well as on the rest of the car are also painted matching red (instead of undercoated) making it very easy to clean. The rocker panels are in excellent shape with no separation, bubbling, dents or damage. Overall: This is a great car, as can be clearly seen in the pictures. It is more impressive in person. I would say this is a nice show/driver car. What I mean by this is that it is a car to enjoyed and driven (not a trailer queen), but can be taken to shows as well and will do very well. This Jaguar Coupe overall, looks truly exceptional and it runs and drives great as well. These Jaguar E-type coupes are difficult to find done this nice. It is a great investment car that will appreciate as you enjoy it! I have owned a lot of Jaguar E-types of every year and especially like the coupes because of their timeless beauty. I have bought, sold and collected a lot of these Jaguar E-types, so I do know an excellent restoration. This automobile is available for inspection in Cornelius, NC
