I have owned this E type since March of 1981. It had 54,000 miles at the time of purchase. I drove it to work every day for several years and it presently has just over 93,000 miles. Although the car ran when parked, the car needs to be restored. Restoration scheduled to start winter of 2006. I love this site.

I have owned this car since March of 1981. In 1982 the engine was rebuilt with original Jag engine parts. The electrical is original and has never caused any problems. I drove the car to work every day from day of purchase till 1997 when the car was garaged. It now needs restoration that I hope to start in 2007. The car is very straight but has some rust in the outer rockers and trunk floor. All necessary panels are already purchased. My wife learned to drive a stick shift in this car and she has no intention of selling it.

Thanks for the kind words, Bill. I hope you can upload a few photos as you go through the car. I'm on year eight of my one year restoration, so you're in good company. Now if I could just get my wife to learn to drive a stick, then we'd be somewhere. Cheers!

I still own this E-Type. It is presently under full restoration that was started November of 2018. The restoration started later than I originally had planed but it is on its way. I will post some photos in a few days.

My wife and I purchased this car in March 1981. The car 54,000 miles at the time. It was our only car and my wife learned to drive a manual in it. She also drove it to college. When we were able to buy a second car, I started a rolling restoration on the jag. I would take it off the road for a week or two at the time as I repaired or improved things. We took it of the road in 1998 and started a full restoration in 2018. It is still under restoration. Hope to get it back on the road soon so we can start enjoying it again.
