Ebay item 8/1/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-1966-Right-Hand-Drive-4-Speed-Manual-E-type-/1908 ...
Opening bid $1,966 reserve not met, no bids, 9 days left in auction. Buy it now price $7,500.

Sellers description:
This 1966 XKE 2+2 coupe is a true right hand drive car from the factory. It is a Series I covered headlight car, that would have come through with 4.2 liter engine with the tri-carb set up and also has the synchromesh four speed manual gearbox. The car is missing the engine, the seats, the bumpers and the bonnet. What you see is what you get with the car. The car does come with 2 extra doors shown in the pictures and a small box of misc. bits. I have attached the car to a dolly and it will be secured for shipping, so the car can roll and steer while it is on the dolly. This E-type was originally sold in England and I believe that when a car is brought back into England, you do not have to pay duty on the car. Unfortunately I do not have a Jaguar Heritage Certificate on the car and the commission plate is missing so I don't have the original engine number. The chassis number is 1E50531, the body number is 7573 and the gearbox number is EJS1340S.

This stunning E-Type manufactured in 1966 is the more desirable and usable 4.2 litre Series I variant and has recently benefitted from a restoration. Work included a respray and engine and gearbox overhaul. Further work included a rebuilt rear axle with new discs, brake pipes, pads and shock absorbers. Brakes were also overhauled along with a new stainless steel exhaust fitted and new chrome wire wheels fitted at each corner and new rubbers. The car is resplendent in red with a beautifully trimmed biscuit interior. Two large files of bills accompany the car from specialists such as SNG Barret and Martin Robey detailing parts and work for the restoration as well as an MoT certificate valid until May 2017 and a V5 document.

Beautifully finished and highly usable, this Series I E-Type offers practicality and desirability in 1 complete package.

UK righthand drive car

Subject to complete restoration

In private collection last four years

This lovely, genuine, righthand drive 1966 Jaguar E-Type Series I 2+2 Coupé was supplied new in the UK with body number 7573 and was finished in white with red leather interior. Some time in the late seventies or eighties the car was exported to the USA where it was used, became a restoration project, and was then sold in 2013 by a Jaguar specialist near Boston, Massachusetts and returned to the UK and restored. Much work was carried out on the body before it was resprayed. An engine was located and rebuilt and the gearbox overhauled. Further work included a rebuilt rear axle with new discs, brake pipes, pads and shock absorbers. Brakes were also overhauled along with a new stainless-steel exhaust fitted and new chrome wire wheels fitted at each corner and new rubbers. Finally, the car was given an MoT and registered in the UK in May 2016 and now looks resplendent in red with a beautifully trimmed biscuit interior. This E-Type is supplied with a V5C registration document and two large files of bills accompany the car from specialists such as SNG Barret and Martin Robey detailing parts and work carried out for the restoration. Beautifully finished and highly usable, this Series I E-Type offers practicality and desirability in one complete package.

Sold by Fayreoak Classics of Cheltenham in May 2022. Seller's description below

www.fayreoak.com/autos/1966-jaguar-e-type-s1-22-rhd-uk-supplied-car/

This lovely, genuine, right hand drive 1966 E Type Series 1 2+2 Coupe was supplied new in the UK on 22 September 1966, distributed by Rossleigh Edinburgh and sold through Merchiston Motors, finished in Golden Sand with a Tan leather interior. Sometime in the late seventies or early eighties it was exported to the US where it was used, became a restoration project, and was then sold in 2013 by a Jaguar specialist near Boston, Massachusetts and returned to the UK and restored. Much work was carried out on the body including new floors, and front footwell panels before it was resprayed. A replacement engine was located and rebuilt and the gearbox overhauled.

Further work included a rebuilt rear axle with new discs, brake pipes, pads and shock absorbers. Brakes were overhauled with a new stainless steel exhaust and new chrome wire wheels fitted with new tyres. Finally the car was given an MoT and registered in the UK in 2016. Little used since and sat in a private collection, it looks resplendent in red with a beautifully trimmed Tan leather interior. This E Type is suppled with a V5C registration document and two files of bills detailing parts and works for the restoration. Beautifully finished and highly usable, it offers practicality and desirability in one complete package.
