Sellers description:
1966 XKE automatic. Fresh from long term dry storage, this car came from an estate after the owner passed away over 5 years ago. It has been in the same family for over 25 years!! After sifting through the car, documents and registrations it appears the car was last driven in 1998 and then the car was partially restored and never finished. Extremely solid and should be an easy project for those always wanting the E type Jag. I love the body style and wish I had the time and money to restore this car and enjoy.
There are many boxes of parts, used original from the car as well as a few boxes of new parts that were purchased for the re-assembly. Items like gaskets, trim and wiring. I looked at everything and it appears to be about 98% complete! Since I am not a Jag expert, and I did not take the car apart, I cannot itmeize parts that are missing.
Notable inclusions...front headlight buckets and glass, and LUCAS bulbs. Original bumpers front and rear. nice body trim
Notable item missing: TRANSMISSION
**Somehwere in the moves...the automatic transmission came up MISSING. Engine is there and correct, no trans!!
**NUMBERS MATCHING ENGINE AND BODY
Some minor and very normal rust in the foot well area. Some other bubbles but nothing serious. Front frame attaching points are great. No evidence of prior accident damage.
Nice wire wheels with knock offs. INCLUDES SPARE!!
