Ebay item 10/27/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-SERIES-1-1967-JAGUAR-XKE-2-2-OUT-OF-STORAG ...
Current bid $2,247, no reserve, 8 bids, 4 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
original matching number 1967 Jaguar xke 4.2 Litre 2+2 automatic coupe. I have owned this car for less than a year, with the intentions of making it a running & driving car. This car has been in storage for years in Ohio, and has suffered from neglect - it will need a total restoration, in my opinion. However, I have too many projects underway to give this car the attention it deserves.
Condition :
* Serial # 1E77055 BW
* Body # 4E 52777
* Engine # 7E 527629
* Gearbox # EJ 17644
* Mileage: 36,000 I believe this is correct.
* Engine: Starter clicks, motor appears tight, but complete. Carbs are working. There is spark to plugs. Fuel pump working.
* Transmission: I was told rebuilt before put in storage years ago
* Brakes: Work.
* Clutch: Unknown.
* Floors: Front and rear floors look good.
* Body: Car is in primer to protect from rust, although there appears rust in lower rocker panels, sills , trunk area, and also signs of bondo in those areas, even though looks presentable. So what I am saying is car still needs sheet metal work, in my opinion. This car is not ready for paint.
* Bonnet: Front hinges appear 'ok', and shut 'ok'.
* Interior: Interior leather needs replaced.
* Chrome: Included, but needs rechromed.
* Trunk area: No holes, although looks like bondo in some areas.
* Parts missing: Car looks fairly complete. Although jack and original tools and manuals are not there. Chrome headlight trim piece is missing. I believe air filter bucket missing.
There are tell tale signs of bondo in areas. There is no visible rust on the outside of the car.

On October 9th 2011 I bought this car from a man in Alabama who had had it stored in Florida from 2005. It is in worse condition and more rust is apparent. It is presently in a container on its way to Brno in the Czech Republic, where I hope to do a complete restauration.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
