Sellers description:
1968 Jaguar XKE (E-Type) Series 1 1/2 2+2 automatic in Red with original Black leather interior. Very straight and unrusty Jag, color changed from Primrose to Red but maintains its yellow space frame and spare wheel well. Runs & drives very well. We just spent $957 on servicing, motor mounts, timing chain adjustment, etc. Paint is not to a super high quality and the original leather is a little dry with good door panels and dash, etc. This is a very good, solid and straight entry level E-Type that can be driven anywhere.

Transmission: Auto
Exterior: Red
Interior: Black
West Coast Classics are proud to present a very solid and rust free example of this 1968 Jaguar XKE E-Type Series II 2+2 automatic coupe with it's original matching number 6 cylinder 4.2L/246HP engine! The car had been garaged for many years before we purchased it and got it running and it will be sold by us as a running project that will need further mechanical and electrical work and some cosmetic attention. It boasts all five original Jaguar chrome wire wheels and it's original 4.2L engine. The car was always garaged by its previous long time California owner for many years and the floor boards, trunk and all the typical rust-prone areas are completely solid and rust-free! The car has no signs of any major accidents and has a very straight body. It's Red color paint is in very good condition and the car looks extremely impressive but please note there are some minor touch ups and signs of overspray in the paint noticeable upon close inspection and the gauges and lights are not working and the interior is showing some wear in the form of a tear in the passenger seat and some weatherstripping coming apart, etc. Please note that the car currently has its spare tire on the driver side front wheel and the original spare wire wheel located in the trunk has the other White-wall tire on it. This is therefore a rare opportunity for the Jaguar or British classic sports car enthusiast who is looking to buy a running and mostly all original and unmolested rust free example of a southern California 1968 Jaguar XKE Series 1.5 4.2L 2+2 seater coupe which is an ideal candidate as a project car for the enthusiast to restore and 'take all the way' or simply a car which with some mechanical attention could be a great daily driver for any European classic sports car lover to enjoy today! Price: $35,500
