Just got her and beginning work 7/4/03. She's all intact but needs some help - it'll be a long, fun, haul and today is day one.

Ebay item 5/6/20

www.ebay.com/itm/1968-Jaguar-E-Type-2-door/174272577525

Current bid: $15,900 reserve not met 6 bids 6 days left in auction seller sk8high123, 19k miles car now said to be in Memphis, Tennessee, previously Ft. Meyers, FL.

Seller's description:

1968 Jaguar E-Type Coupe original Opalescent Blue with a Blue interior. Numbers matching 4.2 Liter engine along with a 4 speed manual Gearbox. The undercarriage is very solid and rust free and still retains its original flooring. The car runs and drives very well, just had numerous services performed such as all new brakes front and rear including all new rubbers, master cylinder, clutch master cylinder, New pads and rotors. The Jag had its radiator flushed out and all new coolant lines were ran. The timing chain gasket and thermostat housing were also both replaced. The carburetors have been rebuilt as well as a replaced fuel tank. The car has good looking paint on it not perfect but shows very well, The interior appears to be original it still shows nice and is in good driver shape. The car is a rare 4 speed AC car which is the first year Jaguar installed AC in its E-type. The chrome and glass are in good drive shape and still show well. Once again this is a nice daily driver not a concourse Jaguar. If you are looking for one that you can drive and enjoy this is the one. The engine and data plate do match on this vehicle making it much more desirable that it left the factory with its original drive train and still remains the same to this day. If you are looking for a great series 1 1/2 coupe this is it.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
