Ebay item 8/6/04
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $8,000.00 (Reserve not met), 10 bids, 9 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
My 1970 Jaguar has only 65,395 actual miles. I have owned it for about 20 years and it has been stored carefully for the last several years. I just turned 70 and my wife says it is finally time to devote my attention to her instead of my beloved Jaguar. It is the much desired Silver with Black Leather interior with Black soft top. It has a 4.2 litre straight overhead cam six cylinder engine and 4 speed manual transmission with AM/FM Cassette, original chrome wire wheels, matching numbers and all tools and manual. The car comes with additional oem parts. This car is in wonderful mechanical condition.

Vehicle Condition
This XKE has only about 1,000 miles since major mechanical work performed. Radiator rebuilt, twin carbs rebuilt, gas tank removed and flushed, fuel pump, new ball joints and new seals. Mufflers and chrome exhaust.have been replaced.

The top is new as are the leather seats and the trunk interior. The seats and door panels have no cuts stains or scratches.

The body has rust by the rear whell wells which will require some work. There is some surface rust under the carpet and battery but not through the floor. The door panels and dash are excellant. There are some scratches and nicks in the paint. The windshield has a small ping in it.Fix the rust and paint and you have a winner.

This cat runs like a tiger and purrs

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
