1R1228 is owned by James and Sarah of Ashbourne, Derbyshire. James inherited the car from his late grandfather and plans to enjoy it for many years

1R1228 was sold late 2016 and now resides in Yorkshire. The new owners intend on treasuring the car with the option of it returning to "grandad's family" when possible. Minor mechanical work, and upgraded tri-core aluminium radiator and other small jobs have been undertaken, along with a thorough detailing.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
