1969 XKE FHC Jaguar 4.3 L

For Auction, is my wonderful XKE that was to be a father and son(s) project that never got completed. As much as I hate to do this, I must now sell the car.

There is so much to this project, that to do it right, would be like writing a novel, however, most people don't have the patience for that; so I thought that bullet point approach would be the best for the quick reader, please ask me questions about anything you are unsure of. I need this car to find good new home.

1. The car is a restoration project. However, the car only has 35662 actual miles on the odometer. This is one of the lowest mileage cars that I know of for a 1969 XKE.

2. This car was last driven in 1973, see photo of windshield showing car registration in Atlanta Georgia for that year, Atlanta area is where the car has been all its life. I found the car in a warehouse in Decatur Georgia. To this day, the car has always been stored in a dry place.

3. The car has a clean title. See photo

4. The 4.3 liter engine has been completely restored and bored 0.020" over, numbers matching engine and drivetrain. I have the receipt from the company here in Atlanta that restored the engine, this document will be included with all the other documents that go with the car.

5. I bought new, the front under belly and the front clip that the whole hood assembly attaches to and they go with the car. The original ones were slightly bent due to a small altercation with a tree in the left front.

6. The leather is still in great condition given its age as well as the side panels and top panel and dash. However, the carpet is rotted away.

7. This car has the potential to be a show queen if the right craftsman were to get it due to its low mileage and great overall condition.

8. A lot of the car parts have already painted their original colors and are ready for instillation. Please refer to the photos.

9. All of the front engine frame and all of the hood pieces are in primer paint to protect from rusting.

10. I have the original spare tire that has never been on the ground.

11. I have a complete car lift that will go with this purchase. I only used it to restore a Corvette and to work on this XKE. The lift is in great condition, ready to assemble and start using. Along with the lift, is a special bracket that bolts the XKE to the lift and up the infrastructure of the XKE so you can install the front suspension, brakes, steering, and radiator assembly and many other items as well.

12. The engine stand that the engine is mounted to goes with the car.

13. 8 years ago I bought 4 great looking vintage wire wheels from a guy in California, the wheels came with tires on them and they have been in my basement all these years. They will go with the car too.

14. I have a complete photo history of the car in a 3 ring binder to aid in the restoration process. This is very critical since not all XKE's are the same. They were all built by hand and although similar, some can be different depending on parts available at time of manufcture.

15. I used aircraft stripper to strip the paint from the car. This is the safest way to remove paint in my opinion.

Now for the minor things I want to bring to your attention;

· There are 2 rust spots, one at the battery bracket (did not go all the way through side panel)

· A small rust spot in the passenger floor.

There are too many things to talk about regarding this car. Please bid with confidence. I have sold cars before on eBay with no issues, this is the same as the others. I hate to see this wonderful car get away but I have to let it go.

The car is located in two (2) places about 30 miles apart.
