Ebay item 3/4/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $7,900.00 (Reserve not met), 5 bids, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
Offered for auction here is a 2 owner, 1969 Jaguar XKE coupe. This is the series II model, finshed in pale yellow with a contrasting black leather interior. The engine is the original 4.2 liter twin cam, inline 6 cylinder with a 4 speed manual transmission. The car runs and drives very well.

The body is straight and the panel fit very acceptable. The paint is an older respray in the original color and shows well for its age. I would rate it a 6/7 on a 1-10 scale. The interior appears to be original and is in very good condition. All the instruments function and the car is very tight and responsive. Koni shock absorbers, an MSD iginition system, and a modern sound system have been added. The car has been maintained as a reliable daily driver. The body is very solid and shows no evidence of rust, rust repair or previous accident damage.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
