This beautiful 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II Coupe has never been fully restored because It never needed it. It is in beautiful condition with Primrose Yellow paint and a black leather interior redone in 2016. Mechanically, the engine, transmission, rear end, suspension, and carburetors have been rebuilt. A set of chrome wire wheels accents the beautiful exterior.
It took several years of pursuit and persuasion to acquire it some years ago in Minnesota from a garage owner who had bought it for his wife. It has been meticulously maintained since then by its motor industry engineer owner and has always been totally reliable on almost 20,000 miles of long-distance tours and rallies. Rally organizers have jokingly singled it out as, "The car we knew wouldn't have to go on a trailer to get home."
The consignor notes that, "Visitors to our home in Oregon want to do the tour to Crater Lake, a day-long round trip. I had no hesitation about taking the E-type; it is incredibly reliable."
A marvelous E-type for driving, it bears cosmetic evidence of its being used. The paint is older with touched up chips. There is a dimple on the right front fender and a small dent in the rear bumper. But it is incredibly reliable and ready to be driven with confidence and enthusiasm.
