Ebay item 9/14/09
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Series-2-69-Jaguar-XK-E-E-Type-Barn-find-i ...
Current bid $4,494 reserve not met, 5 bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
FRESH BARN FIND IN AMAZING CONDITION!

STEAL-IT-NOW for ONLY $10900.00
1969 JAGUAR
XK-E (E-Type)

We have a clean & clear PA title in hand!

THE CONDITION:

First of all, the mileage of 23244mls may or may not be true! Therefore, and in compliance with federal law, the car will be sold as TMU (True Mileage Unknown).

Taking a close look at this car, it is obvious that the 'Tooth of Time', aka. 'corrosion' has been exceptionally kind to her. There's virtually no rust I could find. The body is very straight except for the little dents in front and the left lower corner of the hood. Other then this minor damage, there are no signs or prior body damage or repairs! As you can see, the paint has been peeling in many spots but the primer underneath looks great! Going on to the interior, I was surprized how nice those seats and door panels held up! Amazing! The carpets are OK and the headliner is super nice. Even the dash is in unusually good condition. Even in the hatch area, everything is nice and tidy. A little cleaning is really all I would do. Remember that a good original interior is more valuable then a perfect new one.
Going on to the mechanical condition, she starts and runs very nice! The clutch pedal went to the floor at first but started to work after a few pumps. I wasn't so lucky with the brakes, they didn't pump up and you'll will have to, at least, bleed them. However, you should service them anyway before taking her for a drive!
I also checked things like the transmission which shifts nice and smooth thru all 4 forward gears as well as reverse. The suspension and steering are nice and tight and I think there isn't anything you'll need to do to be able to drive the car. Tires are in good shape too but should be replaced before driving at speed. They are very old and can't be considered safe!
All gauges seem to work and the lights should be fine too. This was an everyday driver before she was locked away, so I expect no bad surprises.

Even though a pait job and a little TLC would make this an extraordinary vehicle to show and collect, she's pretty much ready to be used as a very nice Sunday cruiser the way she is. The choice, Show or Go, is of course yours! This car is offered at a ridiculously low buy-it-now price of only $10900.00, which I think is well below actual value!

Imported into the United Kingdom from California and registered ANM831H in July 2019. Sold by Fayre Oak Classics of Cheltenham in August 2019. Abbreviated seller's description below.
www.fayreoak.com/autos/1969-jaguar-e-type-series-2-fixed-head-coupe/

1969 E Type fixed head coupe. Left hand drive. Air conditioning. The previous owner has taken off the original willow green paint and gone back to the original factory primer, but never got round to repainting the car. We have taken it back to bare metal; a rare opportunity to see exactly what you are buying. There is no hidden filler or rust although it appears to have a repair to the rear wing. The bonnet is loosely fitted. The floors and underneath the car are in amazing original condition. Purchased from California, the seller gave an assurance that the mileage of 23,000 is correct but we cannot confirm.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
