Info above states car is a "nice driver" but the EBay ad states the engine is frozen. Curious!

Seller added info about a frozen engine after the original description was listed. In any case the auction ended at $10,100 after 14 bids.

I bought the car privately from the owner that had put it on eBay. After removing the plugs and soaking the cylinders with Marvel Oil, it now turns freely again. It is in line behind some other projects, but I believe it will be fine. I am currently having a 3:07 rear end put in it, otherwise the car will be as delivered. (Well, maybe a nice triple SU setup will be in it's future...but we'll see about that!)

Just finished mechanical restoration and the car is wonderful. Everything has been done- brakes, carburetors, entire rear end assembly (kept stock ratio after all), steering rack, shocks, all bushings, suspension...you name it. Drives like a new car.

In May 2014 I had the entire car repainted the original color and any rust attended to. Now it looks great, runs great. Happy Jaguar resurrection! Probably last comment for a while...

Lot #102125

This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II coupe is finished in Pale Primrose Yellow over Cinnamon leather and powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include dual Stromberg carburetors, 15″ wire-spoke wheels, and four-wheel disc brakes as well as a louvered clamshell hood, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, air conditioning, Smiths instrumentation, and an aftermarket Premier stereo paired with console-mounted speakers. The car reportedly resided in the southeast US before it was acquired by the current owner in 2018, and an oil change was completed in preparation for the sale. This XKE coupe is now offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace Certificate, service records, a service handbook, and a clean Maryland title in the owner’s name listing the car as a 1970 model.

The body was originally finished in Pale Primrose Yellow and was resprayed in 2014 after rust repairs performed on the quarter panels, passenger door, and hood. Features include bright trim, a driver-side mirror, a louvered clamshell hood, chrome bumpers with overriders, and polished exhaust outlets. Pitting is present on the bumpers and window moldings, paint drips can be seen on the lower body panels, and dents are present near the left turn signal. Paint chips and scratches are visible.

The 15″ wire-spoke wheels wear 185-width Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard rear rotors. The steering rack was replaced in 2015.

The bucket seats are trimmed in Cinnamon leather and accompanied by a color-coordinated rear cargo area, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes air conditioning, a center console, a locking glovebox, and a Premier CD stereo connected to center-stack-mounted speakers. The headliner is sagging near the top of the rear window.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer, while an analog clock and auxiliary gauges are centrally mounted. The five-digit odometer shows 65k miles, approximately 1,100 of which have been added by the owner.

The 4.2-liter inline-six features electronic ignition and dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. The engine was removed in 2015, and the jockey pulley, air conditioning compressor, blower motor, and oil pan seals were replaced along with an overhaul of the air conditioning system. An oil change was completed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The transmission seals were replaced with the engine out in 2015.

A Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace Certificate shows a build date of November 17, 1969, along with factory colors and identification numbers.
