Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar XKE Series II 2+2 Coupe showing 67,684 miles offered by Gas Monkey Garage! When I found this well preserve example of the iconic Jaguar XKE, owned by a very enthusiastic admirer of the XKE, I knew I had to act quickly to secure it. He was able to enjoy and maintain it as it should have been until he was no longer able to enjoy driving it anymore. At that point he focused on maintaining and preserving it in an indoor building and this preserved the floors and tub from the fate of most E-Types (rust) and the result is this extremely well preserved, but not restored XKE Coupe. The doors and hinges are extremely solid and tight. This 1969 Jaguar XKE has been stored since 1979 and wasn't started or driven for quite some time, therefore it will need to be completely serviced before attempting to drive it for the first time after all these years to insure safety and reliability. The exterior is in good condition with small nicks and scratches and "crazing " of the paint on the hood as well. All of the chrome bumpers and trim are present and in good condition with some pitting. The interior is also in good condition with good, solid carpet. The dash is complete and clean. The seats are complete and operational with clean, solid upholstery. All door panels, interior panels and the rear luggage compartment are in good condition making for an easy restoration if desired. The headliner is sagging. The engine compartment appears original and unmolested having been maintained throughout the years. Underside pics reveal a solid tub and mechanical components that are unmolested with minimal rust present. This rare 1969 Jaguar XKE is located in Dallas Texas. If you're looking for a good, solid example of the iconic 1970 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Coupe in great condition you won't find a better example that's priced to sell!
