ebay Item # 2419346445 6/15/03
Sellers comment:
It wins trophies at Jaguar shows. Reap the benfits of my twenty two years of restoring and improving this baby. Nothing left to do. Just drive it home from San Diego. It has a rebuilt engine that has only 24K on the clock. Clutch was replaced when the engine was done. Radiator just recored with a Hayden thermocontrolled fan. Rebuilt power steering rack. New tie rods and rod ends. Mallory Unilite distributor. Lucas Sport coil. K and N filters. Jet-Hot treated exhaust manifolds. Recent exhaust and new chrome silencers. This Regency Red baby has had the front leather replaced along with a new dashpad, headliner, and sunvisors. The center cubby cover was also done in soft creamy black leather. The rear seat is original and has some tears at the top right corner and remains supple. Body is excellent. Chrome is excellent. Front windshield is new and other glass is original but in good condition. Rubber seals all around were done 5 years ago and are good. All work on this four speed, three owner car has been performed by professionals.Paid receipts and history going back to 1980 are availble. This XKE was acquired in 1981 as a Concours winner. Wins trophies in the D-3 Class regularly. Original parts removed from the car for Concours showing will be sold with this car. Also included will be a lint free flannel cover for garage use. It has been driven on a regular basis with routine trips to Los Angeles, Scottsdale,Palm Springs and Vegas. New Pirelli P4000's on chrome wires. New pads, rotors, master, and teflon lined stainless steel brake lines provide the stopping power.

Sellers description:
'69 XKE 2+2. I own this car for the last 14 years and have hardly used it. I think it's time to sell and have someone new enjoy this classic . I am a mechanic and always wanted to own a XKE but I do own a number of other classic cars so this one has to go. The car is in great condition and the previous owner had done the following work over the years , before I purchased it.The odometer shows 38K miles and I am truly not sure if this is original . It could very well be true or it could be 138K. Considering its almost 50 years old , I would think its turned over once. The engine was rebuild 24K miles ago ( now about 26K ). The clutch was replaced when the engine was done. Radiator was recored with Hayden thermo controlled fan. Rebuild power steering rack . New tie rod ends . Mallory Unilite distributor . Lucas sport coil. K and N filters . Jet - Hot treated exhaust manifolds. New exhaust and chrome silencers. Interior front leather was replaced along with a new dash pad , headliner and sun visors. The center cubby was done in black leather also. The rear seat is original and has some tears at the top and remains supple. Body is in great shape and so is the chrome. The paint is glossy and was done by the former owner as well. Windshield is new and also the rubber. The other glass is original but in great shape. Lots of receipts from the former owner is available. He entered the car in shows and the car won a few trophies in the D-3 class. All the original parts removed from the car will be sold with car , if you like to enter it in car shows again. Before I owned the car it was driven on a regular basis to and from LA and Palm Springs. The car has Pirelli P4000 tires in good condition on the chrome wire wheels.. New brake pads , rotors , master and Teflon lined stainless steel brake lines. The car had three owners and as far as I know was a original California car since birth.
