The car is being rebuilt after 24 years of sitting silent. My goal is not a concours winning car, but a "technically new" car that subtly shows its age. Second goal: driving my E-type before I'll be thirty!

Man... I've owned this car three years and haven't driven a single mile in it. I know I'll finish it, some day.

Andrys, I've owned 876073 for ten years and haven't driven it, either!

Don't feel too bad, guys. My 1959 Sprite came off the road in 1981 and is still in boxes. My first E-Type (1E30036) restoration started as a valve job. Hope my current car is back on the road for the E-Type's 50th (and mine!) in 2011. You are not alone!

10 December 2008 at around 22:00 hrs: she fired right up!
12 December 2008: the first (little) drive and... the first (also little) damage!
Now a new interior is coming in. A show car after all!

The car was back on the road in September 2009. Since then, I covered some 8300 miles in the car. No major issues to report! She performs well, it's a true Grand Tourer.
In 2011, she received an 'upgrade': I changed the diff from a 3.54 back to the original 2.88. That gave her much longer legs, off-the-line performance did suffer. It is still a quick car that turns heads.
