Ebay item 7/31/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Jaguar-E-Type-Roadster-/282592761718
Current bid $49,100, no reserve, 5 bids 6 days left in auction, seller zeuss008, 66k miles.

Sellers description:
I have owned this e-type for the last ten years. Never restored, just lovingly maintained since new. I looked a long time before finding one that had not suffered amateur restoration work, or been neglected as so many of these cars have. If you have been looking for an e-type you know that so many of them don't run right, don't sit right, etc. This car is driven on nice days but looks so much better than the majority of e-types you will find and has the correct stance.

This car was in the same family from new until approx 2006, I purchased it in 2007.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate shows it was delivered new in Utah and verifies the numbers matching engine, body and gearbox. It had a respray in the early 90's in its original and rare color of Daimler Silver Gray. The respray was a very high quality as even today, except for a few stone chips, it shines with no orange peel, etc and looks great.
The European spec triple SU carb set up was installed in the early 90's when they were still affordable. I'm not sure anyone would want to but the original dual carb, manifold and crossover pipe are included in the sale.
Another increasingly hard to get item is the original removable hardtop. I had this resprayed about 8 years ago in the original black and had some of the exterior chrome replated. The interior leather looks great without damage but with a nice patina. In case the pictures don't show it correctly, the interior color is a slightly darker red, not the bright fire-engine color that some other years have.
The mileage is exempt for age but the previous bill of sale in 2006 shows a little over 60,000 and it now has just over 66,000 miles which are believed correct.
Tires were changed in 2012 to the correct Dunlop sport and sit on the great looking wire wheels. mileage on the tires is about 3,000.
The car has a 60's moto-lita steering wheel on it but the original steering wheel is included.
Original jack, owners manual and lubrication chart is also included.

Car was at auction 9/18

Auction description:
Lot number 68
Sale Price Not Sold
Make & Model Jaguar E-Type S2 4.2 Roadster
Registration DVG 592G
Year 1968
Colour Silver
Engine Size 4,235 cc
Chassis No. 1R7255
Engine No. 7R1465-9
Documents V5C; MOT October 2018 with no advisories; Heritage Certificate; operating and service manual

This superb LHD Roadster comes with its original factory hardtop, providing the new owner with the best of both worlds - the Roadster that lets you live the dream, and a cosy Coupé that acknowledges that the weather is not always what it should be.

DVG 592G was supplied new to Peter Robinson, of Salt Lake City, Utah in October 1968 and the original registration plates are still with the car. Our vendor bought the car in Illinois from only its second owner and imported it in October 2017. The car is UK-registered, has an MOT to October 2018 with no advisories and has recently been serviced. There are only 66,281 miles on the clock.

The car has had a high quality respray in its original colour at some point and it still looks gorgeous, with panel fits that may be better than they were when new. The black factory hardtop gives it an individual air that the production Coupé cannot have, the original hood is in good condition and the interior of the car - mellow red leather, quality red carpets - is hard to fault.

It has a manual gearbox, chrome wire wheels and recent tyres and the engine has been upgraded with triple SU carburettors to replace the US-spec twin Strombergs, giving this E-Type the 265bhp it was always meant to have. It comes with a Heritage Certificate and an original handbook and service manual.

This E-Type is a lovely example and the new owner will have a car to be proud of, that is ready for that late summer Continental tour.

Car to return to auction 11/18

www.silverstoneauctions.com/1968-jaguar-e-type-sll-42-roadster-

NEC Classic Motor Show Sale 2018

1968 Jaguar E-Type Series ll 4.2 Roadster

Lot No.: 643

Registration: DVG 592G

Chassis Number: 1R7255

Engine Number: 7R1465-9

Year of Manufacture: 1968

RHD/LHD: Left Hand Drive

Estimate (£): 65,000 - 75,000

Delivered new to Salt Lake City, Utah

Single-family ownership until 2006; bought by a US marque enthusiast in 2007, who owned it for the next 10 years

Painted and swapped to European triple SU carbs in the 1990s

Original factory hard-top; matching-numbers; 66,300 miles (indicated); Heritage Certificate

UK-registered in 2017; extremely solid and original; drives very well

The car presented here is a 1968 Jaguar E-Type Series ll 4.2 Roadster, having been manufactured in left-hand drive on the 30th August 1968, and dispatched to Jaguar Cars, New York, before being sold to its first owner, a Mr Peter Robinson, of Salt Lake City in Utah. In 50 years, this car has only had a handful of owners, having enjoyed single-family ownership until 2006, before being sold in 2007 to a Jaguar enthusiast in Illinois. He wanted the most original and solid example he could find, eventually choosing this car and keeping it for the next 10 years. It has been described by him as having never been restored, just well maintained and stored, hence it's understood to still be matching-numbers. Given its ownership history and overall condition, the indicated mileage of 67,000 miles would seem highly credible (but this figure is not verifiable). In the 1990s, it was repainted in its original (and rare) colour of Daimler Silver Grey, whilst also benefitting from being converted to triple SU carburettors. The interior would also appear to be highly original, with a mellow patina and genuine feel and the car retains its original hard-top. Its return trip across the Atlantic commenced when it was purchased by our UK vendor from the US marque enthusiast (mentioned above) in 2017 and the Jaguar is now UK-registered, having been fully serviced and passed an MoT with no advisories. However, due to a change in storage arrangements, regrettably the car must now be sold. 1960’s E-Types in this sort of unspoilt and well-preserved condition are getting much harder to find, especially in such a fetching colour combination.

DVG 592G is accompanied by its Jaguar Heritage Certificate, its old US licence plates, an original handbook, and service manual. A very desirable package offered at a tempting guide price.
