A true barn find she was recently pulled out of dry storage from 1972 to 2015. Original hood was damaged in 1970 and the series 1 bonnet was applied in 1970 as a result of a tree branch falling on the original hood without any other damage being caused to the car itself. The firewall have the original great pencil marks, believed to be the original Pirelli tires on this gorgeous E Type. Complete with stock and original numbers matching engine, no rust found anywhere. This 1969 Jaguar XKE is a Series II roadster that was manufactured on November 29, 1968, and distributed new in the US through British Leyland of New York. The car is said to have spent much of its life in long-term storage in California prior to being purchased by the seller in late 2017. A subsequent recommissioning performed by Images Auto Body in Campbell, California, included a repaint in the factory shade of cream, replacement of brake and suspension components, and a refresh of the fuel and cooling systems. The numbers-matching 4.2-liter XK inline-six and the four-speed manual gearbox were freshened, and the clutch was replaced. Additional features include chrome wire wheels, black leather upholstery, a Blaupunkt AM-FM radio, and a new black soft top. This XKE is now offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, a set of removed older Pirelli tires, a tool kit, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The body was disassembled and repainted in its original shade of cream during the 2018 refresh. A Series II hood was installed during the project in place of a Series I panel that had reportedly been fitted following tree damage in 1970. A new black soft top was also installed in 2018, matching the top color indicated on the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate.
Chrome 15” wire wheels are secured by three-lobed knock-offs, and a damaged left-front wheel was replaced following the seller’s acquisition. Universal Sport thin-whitewall tires were then mounted all around. A spare wearing an older Semperit tire is housed in the trunk. The four removed Pirelli Cinturato CN 75 tires are included in the sale, as is the removed damaged wheel. The four-wheel disc brakes were refreshed in 2018.
The cabin is trimmed in black leather with matching upholstery over the dash, console, and door panels, along with color-keyed carpets covered by rubber floor mats. Additional features include a wood-rimmed steering wheel, shoulder belts, and a black canvas top boot. A refurbished period Blaupunkt radio was installed after the seller’s acquisition, as was a replacement antenna.
Smiths instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, as well as a clock and gauges monitoring voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 12,500 miles, approximately 300 of which were added by the seller.
The 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six breathes through twin Stromberg carburetors and was factory rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine was removed during the recommissioning and inspected, while the cooling and fuel systems were refurbished. The four-speed manual gearbox was inspected internally, and a new clutch was installed. A new exhaust system was installed in 2018.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists the original colors and component numbers, as well as the production and dispatch dates.
A spreadsheet documenting work carried out by Images Auto Body is included. A door-jamb sticker listing an oil change in 1969 at 9,500 miles in Sacramento, California.

Car returns to ebay 7/15/21
Car has a buy it now price of $189,500 for 4 days, seller americanmotorsc-c, car now said to be in San Jose, California, 12k miles.
Seller's description:
For those who simply want the best there is, American Motors proudly presents this beautiful 1969 Jaguar XKE, possibly the lowest miles and one of the most beautiful series II roasters for sale with strong evidence supporting the low mileage of the vehicle. The vehicle was in dry storage for many years and was acquired by the previous owner in 2017. He then began a comprehensive but sympathetic no expense spared restoration including a repaint in factory cream, interior, top and so much more. The vehicle comes with the 1972 date coded set of tires that were on it during storage time. The stickers regarding the emission control system is on both carbs which is unheard of, yet another reason this is believed a super low mile vehicle. The brake pads that were removed from the vehicle while being sorted were believed to be the original outlawed asbestos brake pads that may have been original to the vehicle. Lastly, the oil change sticker with 9k miles dated October 1969 is still affixed to the vehicle. Third party inspections are welcomed and encouraged to verify the condition, authenticity and mileage supporting evidence of this vehicle. The Jaguar heritage certificate, tools, and receipts accompany this vehicle.

According to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate included in its accompanying documentation, this 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II was manufactured on November 29, 1968 and distributed through British Leyland of New York. It was the subject of an extensive yet sympathetic restoration completed in 2018 by Images Auto Body in Campbell, California, which paid careful attention to preserving the car’s originality where possible. Prior to its acquisition by its current owner and the subsequent comprehensive refurbishment, it was kept in careful long term storage by its previous owner and now shows an odometer reading of just 12,550 miles.
Significantly, it features a matching-numbers 4.2L inline-6 twin-cam engine, which was dismantled, inspected and refurbished as needed while retaining such original items as the twin Stromberg carburetors that still show their intact and original stickers. The original clutch was replaced at the time of the restoration, which also included dismantling and inspecting the 4-speed manual transmission and rear end, resealing as necessary. A new exhaust system was installed, and the original asbestos brakes were also replaced with upgraded components.
The body also underwent a sympathetic renewal, being disassembled and receiving detailed prep work before being skillfully refinished in the factory-correct Cream paint. The black interior remains mostly original, including the dash, carpets and underlay, with the notable exceptions of newer seat covers and armrest, as well as a refurbished Blaupunkt AM/FM radio. The original wood-rimmed steering wheel and shoulder belts were also retained. This nicely finished Series II roadster features excellent chromed wire wheels fitted with Universal Sport thin-whitewall radial tires and is offered with an extra set of Pirelli tires, a tool kit, California six-digit Black plates and fulsome documentation that includes the aforementioned Jaguar Daimler Trust Certificate listing the vehicle’s details from original factory records.
