Sellers description:
JAGUAR E TYPE V12 MANUAL ROADSTER 1971 Deliverd on the 12 August 1971 this E type is the 6th car to be built in series 3 production (V12)Vin / Chassis number 1006 and the documentation with the vehicle confirms this was the first car to be deliverd to a private client by Jaguar Cars ltd in the UK finnished in imperial maroon with busicuit leather and carpets with black mohair hood and split tenneau cover, chrome wire wheels with spinners and fish tail exaust. The vehicle is fitted with power stearing radio and an unused cigar lighter, there is a 146 page history portfolio detailing its life owners and mileage, also included with this file are heritage / valuation certificates MOT certificates letters from Jaguar service invoices and details of all 4 owners. in 1982 the cr was subject of a refurbisment including a repaint (in its origional colour) a valuation in 1989 was for £65000 and the vehicle was to be sold months later for £73000!!! with 47000 miles the last owner purchased the vehicle in 2002 with 53000 miles and used the vehicle regularly covering 6000 miles bringing the total mileage to 59000, recent work has included refurbishment of the braking system replacing one of the cooling fans and the ignition system the vehicle now uses lead free fuel. whilst this is not an over restored concorse winning example it is not a tarted up wreck! The body is free from rust dammage or dents and the leather is in good origional order free from ware patches or marks retaining a mellow patina, the carpets are free fom ware stains or dammage and the mohair hood is free or fading or dammage. On the road the vehicle performs as it should the V12 is smooth and quiet the manual gear box changes correctly and it is free of rattles and squeeks the previous owner belives it has never had to be welded underneath. naturaly the vehicle is road tax free and has an MOT till 2006. This is a well known and historicly important unmolested E Type which has matching numbers low mileage (documented)with low ownership and has allwase lived in the UK.
