For sale at Classic Cars of Wirral for £89,990. Seller's description below.
www.classiccarsofwirral.co.uk/vehicle/name/jaguar-e-type/
E Type V12 Manual convertible. UK car in great and unusual factory original colour combination of Lavender with Biscuit interior. Jaguar Heritage certificate showing the date of manufacture 23rd January 1973 and the car sold to P J Evans, Birmingham on 12th February 1973. Benefitting from a full bare metal body refurb and repaint in 2004/05, lots of photos available showing the car's progress through the refurbishment along with invoices totalling over £5,500. At the time the engine was overhauled by VSE engines and the standard Stromberg carburettors were replaced with a much more reliable and efficient SU set up.
In 2006 the standard gearbox was replaced by a Derek Watson Watjag T5 5 speed, making the car much happier with dealing with the motorway speeds as well as improving performance. The mileage at the time of this work according to the MoT certificates was around 40,000 miles, with the current mileage showing at 52,000 the car has really not covered many miles since. All receipts for the above work are available as are numerous other invoices and relevant MoT certificates. Superb panel fit, paint is excellent, engine pulls like a train, interior superb. A rare opportunity to purchase a well sorted and looked after V12.
