Registration: GNT 94M
Chassis Number: 152093
Engine Number: 7512828SB
Number of cylinders: 12
CC: 5343
Year of Manufacture: 1974
Estimate (£): 85,000 - 95,000
Offered here is a fabulous Series 3 Roadster finished in Gunmetal Grey with an Ox Blood red leather interior. The car was purchased by our vendor in 2013, and sent, almost immediately, to respected Jaguar specialists Hilton & Moss in Hertfordshire, where it was to remain for the next year. Their brief was to create a good looking car that would be sufficiently reliable to be used every day. The result was sensational.

The refurbishment is well documented with bills totalling more than £24,000. The work carried out is too extensive to list here, but included stripping and refurbishing the gearbox, fitting new brakes, refurbishing the chrome wire wheels, respraying and adjusting the bodywork to give excellent panels gaps, fitting a new windscreen, carpets, hood and repairing the hood frame. To ensure reliability and performance, the engine was fettled, new ancillaries fitted and then serviced. A new wood-rimmed Mota-Lita steering wheel enhances the look of the interior, and the original leather steering wheel is included in the sale.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
