This car epitomises a man’s quest to build a very special and one-off Jaguar E Type.

Rolling off the production line in 1973, this original right hand drive Fixed Head Series 3 had no idea what was in store for the car.

Delivered by Henlys of London, TGF700M was destined to be loved and cherished. The original service book shows that the car covered little mileage over many years.

Later on, this big Cat was fully restored but the restoration was taken to the next level.

The remit was obviously to build a car that subtly stood out amongst its counterparts, and it certainly does that. The more you stare admiring this lovely E Type, the more you appreciate the time taken in building this one-off car. Subtle bodywork modifications, such overriders removed from the bumpers, special wheels, front grille and headlight covers showing that this car is truly a one off. The refurbished and modified interior show not only a nod to older models, but also add a new level of luxury and comfort making it a fantastic grand tourer.

This E Type is being offered at only a fraction of what it would cost to buy, restore and upgrade an E Type to this level. The next lucky owner will enjoy a fresh service and MOT, a spare set of keys, the original history folder including Service Passport and of course our own warranty.

The cherished number is not be part of the sale.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
