43,500 MILES, ON EBAY 05/07, SELLER WRITES:

1971 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 The car is from the southwest USA. NO RUST. Very straight panels. Runs excellent and drives well. Very good daily driver condition car that you can be proud of. ONLY 43xxx miles!! Chrome is excellent condition. Looks sharp!

Needs new headliner. Was repainted quite some years ago as a darker green and has some pine sap spots (but only can notice up close.) The original color was a pea green color. The rack and pinion works but it is easier to steer to one side versus the other due to old seals in the rack. (Not a big deal for me.) The valve covers leak a little oil but it is not a big deal. The door lock tumblers are a bit dodgy. The wheels are aftermarket from many years ago. I have the original wheels but no hub caps. The exhaust is aftermarket from many years ago. I have the original exhaust pipe too. It looks nearly brand new with NO rust of course

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
