Ebay item 7/21/09
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-V12-2-2-V12-2-2-Auto-Air-BRG-PERFECT-RUNNI ...
Opening bid $5,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction. 46k miles.

Sellers description:
My Father's 1971 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Series III V-12 E-Type. The car is British Racing Green with tan leather seats and automatic transmission. The car was originally purchased from the Monterey Rolls / Jag dealership in 1972. It was then sold to a gentleman from Chicago where it stayed in a personal collection for many years. My Father then purchased the vehicle from the RM Auction in the mid 90s, and carefully restored it to perfect running order (at great expense).

The Good:
This Jag is in PERFECT RUNNING ORDER, Yes the air blows ice cold, there are no issues with the electronics, the ignition was replaced with one that is reliable (yes it does start regardless of hot or cold temperature). This entire vehicle has been gone over many times to make it a reliable, dependable E-Type. The car comes with many receipts and spare parts.
One of the most problematic issues that my Father has faced is with the brakes; he has replaced all rotors and master cylinders at great expense.

The Bad:
Remember this is an ALL ORIGINAL Jag, so there are a few SMALL dings on the car (shown in pics) and the ORIGINAL paint is showing some cracking. There is NO RUST on the body but is some surface rust inside the engine bay (right by the battery box). I assure you that it is just surface rust, and we may remove it before it is sold. The driver seat could use some work, but the rest of the interior is in great condition. The paint is ORIGINAL and has NEVER BEEN BUFFED, so most of the defects in the paint will buff out.

My Father is the third owner of this Jag. The reason that we are selling is due to lack of space. He really wants a SL and has XK150s that isn’t going anywhere.

The E-Type is located in Sudbury Ontario, Canada but can be delivered anywhere in North America (I can drive the vehicle or I can arrange shipping at buyers expense). If you are in the area and want to view/test drive, Just give me a call and I will arrange it.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
