Description from above auction:
1971 Jaguar Series II E-Type Roadster

LOT 120
CHASSIS#:
2R14331
ESTIMATE:
$ 45,000 -- $ 65,000
One of the rarest of the Series II examples built is the car offered here. It is a correct example that was configured from new utilizing the longer wheelbase of the V12 model and the earlier and highly desirable 4.2 liter engine. This combination undoubtedly makes for one of the most pleasant and useable E-Types ever made.

This 1971 E-Type is a very original Jaguar in great condition with low miles, having only 29,900 miles believed to be original, according to the vendor. This vehicle has benefited from caring and meticulous ownership, as well as regular care and attention this car is a good driver. This California car has its original patina and also has the leaping cat symbols on each side of the bonnet while finished in Willow green and biscuit. With all the correct options, wire wheels and a desirable period color combination, this 1971 Jaguar XKE Series II Roadster is a rare opportunity for the Jaguar collector – as its production was near the end of the Series II E-Types.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
