Just bought car (04/04) in Minnesota where it spent most of its life in a heated/AC garage. It has 17,000 plus original miles, is dirty, but will be an exceptional example once cleaned and a bad respray is corrected. Virtually all but tires, battery, and the respray are original.

Doug, Love the 1971 series 2 models, I am from Dyersburg, TN but live in Bossier City, LA. We own 4 1971 xke's. I know a little ridiculous- but was checking out the VIN #'s. On the series 2 list in xkedata.com ours are some of the earliest 1971's. My cars build date is 27, April 1970. Car is a silver coupe. I also own a '71 Ascot Fawn OTS that is red and will put back original color in a year or two when time and $ permits. Blue Skies, Stephan Spence

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
