I have owned this E since May 1996. It had 59470 miles on the speedo. It currently has 66497. It has been repainted (same) and some interior coverings replaced, front rotors replaced but I think that is all. Everything else is original. It is for sale: $17,500. / offers.

Current bid $7,600.00 (Reserve not met), 8 bids, 6 days left in auction. Said to be in Bowie, Maryland now. Buy it now price $18,000.

Sellers description:
1971 E-TYPE JAGUAR COUPE (not a 2+2)
4 speed transmission
66,600 original miles
Old English white with red leather interior which is certainly in good condition for its age. Probably could use a detailing, but I have conditioned it last year.
The Jaguar E-type speaks for itself in beauty with power and grace. There are few cars that compare to the E's. This car sports a 4.2 liter six cylinder and feels tight and agile when placed in action. Later, more powerful engines were made available, but the extra weight offset the spectacular handling.

I have owned this car for almost 10 years. I believe I am the third owner. I drive it to British car shows and occasionally for pure pleasure. I have owned several Jags but this was my first E. But now, I need to move on.
This Jag is not a perfect car but it runs well and still turns many heads. It was dismantled and striped to bare metal then repainted in June, 1996. I was shown a repair done on a dent behind the passenger door. It did not damage the door, door jam or wheel-well. No real bondo use on this car.

Chrome is not rusted or dented, but not perfect. The door handles and mirror is close to show, but probably should rechrome bumpers for the perfection this car deserves.

The car has been garaged since I have owned it. I am also throwing in the cover it has been covered with in that garage. There is some paint lifting around the louvers. The interior is average to good, The car has factory AC but has not worked since I have owned it. Get your plumber involved and maybe he can help.

There is an older AM/FM/cassette radio that works fine. It is not stock. The heater motor is missing. The exhaust pipes and forward mufflers are rusty and may need replacing in short time. But they are still solid now. The rear mufflers have been put on since I owned the car.

Also included with the car are some books, various printed car materials and a box of misc. stuff. You might get a super bargain in the box alone.
