Car was discovered for sale in Las Vegas by a Rob T., friend of xked.com.

Car was described as being restored in the UK in '92, asking price $85k.

86---- WAS JAGUARS DESIGNATION FOR THE FHC. 861742 WOULD HAVE BEEN BORN IN SEPT. OR OCT.1964.

Blackhawk has either made an error in their posting or the car was converted. Without more specific info we can only post what they report. More pictures can be seen at:

$0 at www.AutoCollections.com

Seeing the number of times this car has shown up with this serial number, it must be a conversion or a re-title.

My Uncle and Aunt had the car originally. They lived in Kislingbury, Northhampton
I have photos of their car and would be pleased to pass them onto the present owner of the car

I still own this car that I bought from Blackhawk back in 2009. As mentioned, it started life as a coupe, but was restored onto a new OTS body in 1984 in Scotland. It has covered less that 700 miles since then, with a great patina. They provided extensive history for the car, including the V5s of most of the UK owners (including the original owner mentioned above) and the invoice from the restoration. Since the restoration, it has been in collections in the UK, Hong Kong, and the US. I drive it to local shows, but it mostly sits in my garage and is admired.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
