This excellent, left hand drive, matching numbers, Series 1 E Type 'flat floor' Roadster was supplied new to Fattori and Montani in Rome, Italy who had ordered it without a soft top but with the desirable factory hard top which is still fitted to the car. It was imported into the UK in 2013 just after being fully restored changing the colour scheme from the original cream with black leather interior to the stunning combination of British Racing Green with light tan interior. This rare flat floor is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT certificate which expires in January 2018, the Heritage Certificate, a MoT certificate from when the car was imported and the original Italian registration documents. This is an opportunity to purchase, not only the most sought after E Type model - the 3.8 litre 'flat floor', but one which has been beautifully restored.

Very early Roadster built in left-hand drive and despatched new to Italy
Superbly restored by Italian craftsmen prior to its return to the UK in 2013
The restoration appears to have been loyal to 1961 detail
British Racing Green with a handcrafted Tan interior. Bellissimo!
1961, 3.8-litre, flat-floor, factory hard-top, fully restored. Not too many of these about.
According to its chassis number, this is the 594th left-hand drive roadster built and was finished in Cream with a Black interior. before being supplied new to Fattori and Montani in Rome. It was ordered with a factory hardtop but without a soft-top which seems odd considering it was headed for sunny Italy. It returned to the UK in 2013 just after being fully restored in Italy with a colour change to the lovely combination of British Racing Green with a light tan leather interior. Pleasingly it remains still attached to its original hard top. The quality of Italian restorations is legendary, particularly when it comes to interiors and trimming. and in this case, no matter what additions had crept into the cabin over the years, it is now 'Pure 1961'. The Jaguar is supplied with its UK V5C Registration Document, the Heritage Certificate, a MoT test certificate from when the car was imported, and the original Italian registration documents.
This is an opportunity to purchase, not only one of the most sought-after E-Type models, a 'matching numbers, Series !, 3.8-litre, 'flat floor', but one that has been beautifully restored.

BRG with tan interior : beautiful color combination
but it's strange that wiper position has been converted to a RHD configuration, while steering position remains a LHD one

This very early, excellent, left hand drive, Series I E-Type ‘Flat Floor’ Roadster, with matching numbers, pressed bonnet louvers, double boot hinges and one of the first cars to be fitted with internal bonnet locks was supplied new to Fattori & Montani in Rome, Italy in September 1961. The roadster was ordered without a soft-top but with the factory hardtop. It was imported to the UK in 2013 just after being fully restored which also involved changing the colour scheme from the original cream with black leather interior to the stunning combination of British Racing Green with light tan leather interior. In 2019 the current owner had a new Jaguar hood frame fitted and had it covered with black cloth. More recently he has had it re-detailed which included removing the rear subframe for repainting. 1961 Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8-Litre Roadster | Monaco 2022 | RM Sotheby's (rmsothebys.com)
The first of the three generations of E-Type represents the purest and most desirable expression of Sayer’s vision, the earliest of which are arguably the most sought-after. Chassis “875594” is one of these highly collectible early examples, featuring a “flat floor” body with welded—rather than pressed—bonnet louvres, though distinguished from the earliest cars by its internal, rather than external, bonnet latches. This left-hand-drive car is recorded as being completed at Jaguar’s Brown’s Lane factory on 25 September 1961 and was despatched on 4 October 1961. Destined for export—as was the lion’s share of early E-Types—it arrived at Jaguar concessionaire Fattori & Montani in Rome, Italy finished in Cream over Black leather interior with a matching Black soft top.
The car returned to the UK in 2013, by which time it was said to have been restored, having undergone a colour change to the popular combination of British Racing Green over tan leather, while retaining its matching-numbers chassis, engine block and cylinder head. During its time in the UK, the car was fitted with a costly new hood frame and black cloth soft-top. Stylishly finished with 15-inch, 72-spoke chrome wire wheels, this E-Type is a rare example of Jaguar’s iconic sports car that ticks all the boxes, whether as an investment or a toy for sunny weekends—or indeed both.
