Sellers description:

1962 Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8-Litre Roadster

Lot 0 (not listed yet)

Amelia Island 2015

Print FriendlyPrint

Estimate: $250,000 - $300,000 Without Reserve

Chassis: 876333

Lot 77

Amelia Island 2015

This 1962 Series I Roadster is highly desirable with its welded hood louvers and flat floors. It was first finished in opalescent gunmetal with red interior. While the car's earliest history is unknown, it was purchased more than 25 years ago by its previous owner, Craig Pillatsch of Carterville, Illinois. With the assistance of marque craftsmen, Mr. Pillatsch orchestrated a comprehensive 20-year restoration, culminating in the stunning red and black combination presented today. The engine was rebuilt with new pistons keeping stock bore, and the Jaguar is accompanied by a black cloth top and black top boot, AM/FM radio, original jack, knock-of hammer, and tool kit.

A perfectly specified early example, this show-ready XKE is a beautifully restored example of one of the most beloved models of all time.
