Auction ended at $85,100 after 31 bids

Sellers description:

1962 Jaguar E-type XKE roadster series 1 covered headlight - all original numbers matching drivetrain. This Jag is in excellent condition inside and out - body is very straight, paint is very nice, interior is excellent condition. Jaguar had a professional makeover in the early 90s and has been garage kept since. All the paint and chrome shows nicely. The convertible top has a few pinholes that are barely noticeable, interior is beautiful, trunk pan is solid, all the glasses in good condition; no cracks or chips. Jag is ready to drop the top and go! No mechanical issues, runs and drives great, handles well, please take your time and go through all the photos and judge the vehicle for yourself.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
