Auction description:

ESTIMATE £90,000- £100,000

Auction London Classic Car Show 22nd February 2020

Lot Number 139

Reg. Number UK Registered

Chassis Number 877912

1962 Jaguar E-Type Roadster

This wonderful matching numbers car was delivered new to Jaguar Cars New York in August of 1962, later being repatriated into the UK and to a marque specialist who has undertaken a huge restoration on the car, with very few miles since completion. The restoration was exhaustive, supported by bills totalling £60,000 from leading suppliers such as the Jaguar Workshop and SNG Barratt. Naturally during the process all trim and chromework were replaced, and the car was refinished inside and out.

Presented in Bronze Metallic coachwork with a tan leather interior, this is a great opportunity to buy a high end, restored early E-Type which is ready to be driven and enjoyed once more.

This wonderful matching numbers example was delivered new to Jaguar Cars New York in August of 1962, later finding its way to Gallery Aaldering of Holland and more recently being repatriated to the UK. Restored in 2018 the car has covered very few miles since. The documentation that accompanies the car includes bills of restoration totalling over £50,000 from leading suppliers such as the Jaguar Workshop and SNG Barratt. As you would expect, during the process all trim and chromework were replaced, and the car was refinished inside and out. Finished in Bronze Metallic coachwork with a tan leather interior, this is a wonderful looking E-Type that will certainly bring a lot of joy to the new owner.
