It took 8 years and over $200,000 in time and labor to create this unique, award winning, all steel, E-Type Jaguar. It represents an outstanding example of a custom designed and modified classic. While retaining the basic characteristics of the 43 year old automobile, it has been transformed into a beautiful show car.

The caliber of all the work performed on the "E-Spyder" is the highest quality. Every body panel of the original sports car has had some kind of custom treatment. The entire vehicle is highly detailed and meticulously finished by some of the best craftsman in the classic car business.

The E-Spyder's body has over 30 modifications including the conversion to a full roadster. Most of the exterior chrome has been removed to give the car a clean, contemporary look. Every hole, seam, bump, or ridge has been removed and filled. The taillights, headlight surrounds and front parking lights are new as is all of the rubber. Latches are chrome plated. A custom grille and beveled glass wind wings were added.

The cockpit and trunk are upholstered in Italian and German leather. The carpets are Rolls Royce, All of the interior panels were custom designed and manufactured. Classic Instrument gauges were fitted. Polished, water cut stainless steel E-Spyder logos, are inlaid in carpet. Custom arm rests and a Budnik billet aluminum steering wheel was added.

The 4.2-liter engine's block and head is from a 1986 Jaguar XJ6. All of the engine parts (except the crank) are new. The head and intake manifold was ported and polished. The engine was balanced. It has D-Type
cams; mirror polished stainless steel exhaust manifolds, pipes and mufflers (custom made in England for the car); new triple SU carburetors; custom Griffin aluminum radiator, shroud and dual electric fans, Mallory distributor, Hi-Torque starter, MSD alternator, American Autowire wiring kit, T5 five speed transmission, billet aluminum fly wheel, 3.31 XJ12 rear end, and lots of polished aluminum and chrome.

The suspension has been upgraded with stainless steel Alden coil over shocks, heavier torsion bars, Willwood brakes and rotors in the front and Series III E-Type brakes in the rear, new front and rear hubs, stainless steel brake lines, billet aluminum brake and clutch reservoirs, and new rack and pinion steering. Everything under the car has been polished, chromed, powder coated or painted. The nuts, bolts and washers are polished stainless steel or chrome. The Minilite wheels were custom made, polished and painted. They're attached with Aston Martin style three eared knock offs.

The car was completed in late March 2006. It attended the 2007 Fresno Autorama, an invitation only, non-judged show that is considered to be one of the finest rod and custom shows in the world. It was also at the 2007 Grand National Roadster Show and the Sacramento Autorama where it won Best in Class (Full Custom Sports) in both shows. It has been featured in JCNA's Jaguar Journal (November-December 2006 issue) and The E-Type magazine out of England.

This 1964 Jaguar XKE roadster was refurbished and modified between 1998 and 2006. A 4.2-liter inline-six and T5 five-speed manual transmission were installed, and the bodywork was shaved and repainted in dark blue with twin ghost racing stripes. Equipment includes a red leather interior, 15″ Minilite wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, adjustable rear coilovers, triple SU carburetors, modified fixed-back seats, stainless steel trim, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. The car was acquired by the current owner in 2012, and service over the past year consisted of rebuilding the steering racking, performing an alignment, and replacing the head gasket, tie rod ends, tires, and fluids. This Series I roadster is now offered by on dealer consignment with records, refurbishment photos, and a Washington title.

Beginning in 1998, the body was disassembled and repaired before a series of modifications were performed. Work included shaving the bumper mounts, capping the window openings, as well as shaving the fender trim, windshield wiper mounts, door handles, rear deck, license plate lights, and rear trim. The soft top opening and mechanism were also removed before the car was repainted in dark blue with two ghost center stripes. Equipment includes sealed headlights, a louvered hood, a LeMans-style fuel cap, and dual exhaust outlets. Stone chips and nicks are noted around the body.

15″ Minilite wheels were recently wrapped in 195/65 Continental ContiProContact tires. The suspension was overhauled during the refurbishment process and is fitted with aftermarket front shocks, aftermarket torsion bars, and adjustable rear coilovers. Braking is handled by Wilwood front calipers and inboard Series III rear calipers over cross-drilled rotors along with a Series III booster and master cylinder. The steering rack and tie rod ends were replaced in June 2022, and and alignment was then carried out.

The cabin was fitted with a custom center console and rear bulkhead before being reupholstered in red leather. The fixed-back seats were modified with a wider recline, and additional equipment includes textured stainless steel trim, a stainless steel shift knob, an adjustable rear view mirror, and lap seatbelts.

A wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock. Readouts for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage are housed in the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer shows just over 500 miles, and the total mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was reportedly sourced from a 1986 XJ6 and fitted with D-type camshafts before being installed. Equipment includes a triple SU carburetor with chrome SU-branded filters, an MSD alternator and spark plug wires, a Mallory distributor, a So-Cal Speed Shop coolant overflow tank, a Mooneyes vacuum tank, and a Griffin aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. Service in June 2022 included replacing the head gasket and changing the oil and coolant.

A T5 five-speed manual transmission has been installed, and a stainless steel exhaust system has also been added.

The car is titled in Washington State using car number 879616. The Washington title carries a “Classic” brand.
