This 1965 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster is powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six mated to a replacement five-speed manual gearbox. The car was recently acquired by the selling dealer and features a beige convertible top, a beige top boot, chrome wire wheels with Jaguar knock-offs, split chrome bumpers with overriders, glass headlight covers, and an aftermarket stereo. The clutch was replaced in September 2016, and more recent maintenance reportedly included a tune-up. This XKE roadster is now offered in California with service records, a maintenance booklet, and a clean Pennsylvania title.

The body is finished in red and features a beige convertible top, a beige top boot, split chrome bumpers with overriders, glass headlight covers, hood louvers, and polished moldings. The interior is trimmed in beige leather with matching carpets and door panels, a black dashboard, and beige floor mats.

Chrome wire wheels with Jaguar knock-offs are wrapped in redline tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard rear rotors, and a spare tire is fitted beneath the trunk floor.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock. Auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center of the dash along with factory switchgear. The five-digit odometer shows 61k miles. True mileage is unknown.

The 3.8-liter inline-six features dual overhead camshafts and triple SU carburetors. The selling dealer notes recent maintenance included a tune-up.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
