Car currently needing full restoration and conversion to RHD. Imported back to the UK via the Nosac Ranger container ship on the 24th of February 1990 to Southampton from Brunswick US.
Originally shipped to New York Cars on the 20th of December 1963 first registered for road use in 1964. Does not have original Moss gearbox and bellhousing but is otherwise mecanically original as far as it's engine and transmission components.
Car body is currently a non Jaguar dark red but will be brought back to the original Carmen Red on restoration. Original bonnet was replaced with a later Series one and a half bonnet at some time in the past but has now been sold and will be replaced with a new Series 1 bonnet.
The last owner before being sold by auction within the US prior to shipping to the UK lived in Illinois. A 1983 one cent coin was found in central arm rest box by the current owner !
