    Ebay item 2/21/05
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $27,600.00 (Reserve not met), 4 bids, 2 days left in auction. 65k miles.

    Sellers description:
This car is in excellent condition and has been owned by a well known collector for over 25 years. The car has always been well maintained and never had any rust. It was repainted a few years back and is professionally maintained by a Respected Jaguar mechanic. While it is a driven car, it is still very show worthy and I would expect it to score 97 points or so in judged competition.

I had the good fortune of visiting this car personally and driving it myself and I cannot adequately describe the feeling of driving an XKE. I now know why these cars are so highly regarded. When you are in the cockpit the center hood scoop and fenders give you the feeling of being in a sports racer.

Every switch and accessory works with the exception of the radio which could probably easily be repaired. Of course the lovely note of the engine is ample reason not to bother with that! This car runs really really well. In contrast to a trailer queen, you can jump in and drive this car cross country tomorrow. From my experience, most trailer queens aren't capable of going across town. You really need to drive these cars. Letting them sit around isn't good for them. Everything is correct and in excellent condition.

Outside of the trouble some Porcelainized Exhaust manifolds, there is really nothing to be done here. There is really no way to keep the porcelain on the exhaust if you drive the car at all. This is a driven car.

The Black Leather interior is very nice with no rips or tears and the dash is crack free.

This car is a 3.8 liter car with triple SU carbs, supple black leather interior, chrome wire wheels, and a white convertible top. Fully restored and sorted, this car is a contender at any show you take it to, and is capable of being driven cross country tomorrow! bid with confidence. No problems, issues, or flaws!

The car is kept in a climate controlled garage, and is driven from time to time and runs very well. This car needs nothing.
