This 1964 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that is said to have been owned in Florida by two family friends, driven daily by the seller’s father in the 1970s, and sold to a jeweler in West Virginia before being repurchased by the seller’s father in the 1980s. Power comes from a 3.8-liter straight-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in metallic blue. The car was inherited by the seller in 2015, and work the following year included rebuilds of the triple SU carburetors as well as a cooling system service. This XKE is offered with an operator’s handbook, a service manual, a tool kit and jack, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.The Series 1 E-Type was equipped with covered headlights and small taillights mounted above slim rear bumpers. This example was reportedly painted its current metallic blue in the 1970s in West Virginia, and the bonnet was resprayed after the car was backed into in 2017 according to the seller. Cracking is noted throughout the passenger side along with rust in the right rear rocker panel.
