Ebay item 5/22/04
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Curernt bid $25,000 (Reserve not met), 1 bid, 3 days left in auction. Manual trans.

Sellers comment:
There are no dings visible on the exterior of this vehicle. The owner kept this fine vehicle in the garage. This vehicle's transmission runs like it just left the factory. The vehicle engine runs very, very smooth. The vehicle's electric is working perfectly. It is obvious that this auto's previous owner took care of it, as it shows to be well maintained and in beautiful cosmetic condition. What can we say, the exterior on this auto is unblemished and very mint. Interior in showroom condition.
* One of a kind in the USA.
* Rebuilt in England by C.H. Beames.
* Every single piece restored¸ off frame.
* Must see this jewel in person!
* 60 miles since restoration 2 years ago.
* Perfect working condition.

This car was offered (not sold) at a BJ auction in 2002. Auction results and description:

1963 JAGUAR XKE COUPE
LOT #799 - RESERVE
2002 BJCCA CCA
HIGH BID OF $25,000

COLOR - GREEN
CYLINDERS - 6
VIN - 887248

probably the only one of it's kind in usa, every single piece restored and rebuilt to the last cotter pin. rebuilt from the ground up as it was in 1962, car was in england and shipped back to chicago for a lucky buyer, all restoration was done by mr. beames, the finest restorer in the uk. you must see this jewel to believe it. it was shipped to england to be restored for a diplomat in england, who unfortunately passed away during the process. so, upon completion it was returned to the usa.
