This early E-Type Series I 3.8 liter coupé racing car was extensively converted and tuned for racing around 10 years ago at a Munich company. All the requirements of FIVA and the DEUVET Association were complied with.

Both car passes are available so that the car can easily take part in the well-known rallies. During the construction, the mechanics were deliberately not modified or the body parts were not replaced by lightweight construction. The exact work and installed parts are well documented with a detailed inventory report.

It is practically a racing car with 3.8 liter mechanics, 4-speed Moss-Box, standard braking system and the standard steel body. All necessary specifications for racing use: roll bars, circuit breaker outside, etc. have been installed. The car also has a German road approval with H license plate.

Building such a car costs a lot of money, nerves and, above all, time. Here you get a ready-made solution that has proven itself. After almost exactly 10 years, errors in the restoration would have come to light. Thus it offers you a lot of security when buying.

Driving fun is by no means neglected. Maneuvering and mastering the fascinating E-Type mechanics is a nice challenge that should not only be taken on circuits. Make yourself happy with this car!

More E-Type experience reduced to the essence of a pure racing base like this is hardly possible. The car will definitely inspire you.

It can be viewed by appointment in Munich.

Year of construction: 1962

Chassis number: 887275

Exterior color: british racing green

Upholstery:

The entire interior was converted for racing use. Bucket seats with six-point belts were installed, as well as the roll bar required for rally use. In addition, a fire extinguisher was installed behind the seats. For weight reasons, all comfort elements such as the carpets, headlining and insulation were removed. For reasons of comfort, side struts, which would make entry difficult, are currently dismantled. They can be easily fixed at any time. They are given with it.

The car is otherwise sold as it can be seen. There are no other interior fittings (old seats, etc.) that are in stock, etc.

Mileage: since the reconstruction in 2003 approx. 20,000 km. The car was moved more initially and less recently. It is currently fully operational.

Steering wheel position: LHD

The car has a normal street legal with H-plate in Germany.

Country of first delivery: United States

Engine:

The engine has very good oil pressure and runs perfectly. There is currently no mechanically necessary work - apart from any normal maintenance work - on the car. All around a well-made E-Type that is a pleasure to drive. You will be able to convince yourself of this with a test drive.

Transmission: Original 4-course Moss-Box

Body:

The body was completely rebuilt in 2003 and completely restored. It is not only extremely stiff because of the built-in roll bar. This can be felt while driving! The underbody was not subsequently painted over with underbody protection. Therefore, the condition is very easy to see. We did not notice any corrosion. The car has seldom been moved since it was built, and when the weather was perfect. So there are no concerns here.

Important: The car has never seen any serious racing. It was driven once on the circuit to test it. Since it was rebuilt, it has not had an accident or has not been repainted!

Technology:

The entire mechanics was perfectly documented in an official report by the German Motorsport Association (DMSB). Here, on many pages with pictures of this car, compliance with the regulations is explained. This is crucial if you want to participate in racing events as everything is carefully scrutinized here. At the end of the day there should be equal opportunities between the participants, which is why all the documentation effort comes from this.

Additional hint:

It is also important to mention that not only rallies can be driven, but also top speed races. This is very important. The entire range of options is therefore available. For this purpose there is the HTP (Historical Technical Passport), i.e. the FIA approval according to Appendix K.

Rims: 15 "spoke wheels with central lock, painted in black.

Chrome: The bumpers were dismantled because of the weight. They are no longer there.

Glass: The side windows are made of plastic with sliding windows.

Special features model:

The car passes FIVA and DEUVET are available. The car is mechanically optimally documented.

Special features technology: The mechanics correspond to the regulations.
