THIS IS THE FIRST SERIES 3.8 XK-E. AN EXCELLENT CAR FOR RESTORATION. THE ENGINE BLOCK, CYLINDER HEAD AND CHASSIS NUMBERS ALL MATCH. WE HAVE STARTED THE ENGINE AND IT IS VERY GOOD. GOOD OIL PRESSURE AND NO SMOKE. THE COMPRESSION NUMBERS ARE: 165, 155, 165, 145, 145 AND 160. THE BODY HAS RUST IN THE ROCKERS, DRIVERS SIDE FRONT FLOOR AND THE REAR FENDER LIPS. NEW REPLACEMENT PANELS ARE INCLUDED WITH THIS SALE. THE REAR STRUT POINTS, REAR FLOORS AND TRUNK ARE SOLID AND IN GOOD CONDITION. THE HOOD AND FENDER ASSEMBLY IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. NO BONDO IN THE NOSE. ALL VERY STRAIGHT.

If those are Washington state plates, this car in all likelihood was sold in Washington in January 2007 for $5,000 via a Craigslist ad. It then appeared two days later in the Portland Craigslist for $8,500. I just missed getting to this one...oh, well. Looks like a few different folks are going to collect $2-3K "finders fees" before this car finds a home.
I have no absolute proof but the photos look identical.
