This 1970 Jaguar XKE is a Series II coupe that was recently acquired by the selling dealer. The car was refinished in Primrose Yellow during previous ownership and features a black leather interior. The 4.2-liter inline-six is paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes power steering, chrome wire wheels with red-line tires, a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, and a stainless steel exhaust system. This XKE coupe is now offered by the selling dealer with service records, judging sheets, and a clean Pennsylvania title. This example reportedly received replacement rocker panels and a repaint in Primrose Yellow between April and May 1989.

15″ chrome wire wheels are mounted with winged center lugs and wear Michelin red-line tires. Service within the last two weeks reportedly includes replacement of the brake hydraulic cylinders and rear brake calipers.

The interior is trimmed in black leather and features a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, an AM/FM radio, and manual windows and locks. The selling dealer states that the car left the factory with air conditioning, although it does not work.

Smiths instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 48k miles. True mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter inline-six features dual overhead camshafts and twin Stromberg carburetors. It was reportedly rebuilt in January 1990. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

The engine stamping 7R11100 matches the first seven digits of the engine number listed on the data plate shown in the gallery. The “P” prefix in the car number indicates that power steering was equipped from the factory.

Owner’s manuals, car show judging sheets, and a folder of service records are included in the sale.
